Overall and Competitive Strategy

            In an attempt to reinvent our company’s overall strategy, Calapami Communications adopted a new low cost, low quality, low price approach. Calapami is also trying to establish a loyal customer base in the U.S. before the company branches off to markets such as Japan and Germany. Upon first thought, one might consider the fact that price conscience customers tend to not be loyal.  We feel that in our situation, there will always be at least one other company with relatively similar prices.  For this reason, we feel an attempt should be made to keep any current and previous customers loyal to the Calapami brand.  We will attempt to establish this brand loyalty through a database marketing retention program along with special offers for repeat buyers.  As a result, our competitive advantage is generated from the way in which our organization differentiates itself as a whole.
